A small release that mostly takes friction away: a sign-in bug that shouldn’t have happened, and a number that comes back because it was missed.
Staying signed in — even offline
In airplane mode, on the subway, in a dead spot: opening the app without an internet connection signed you out and made you log in again. The reason was more mundane than it felt — on startup the app asked the server who you are, and read the missing answer as “nobody”. Now what counts first is the sign-in that’s safely on your device anyway. You only get signed out when the server actually says so.
Your total time is back
When the stats were redesigned in 3.7.0, the total time fell out of the header — only the average was left. That was a mistake. Now both sit side by side: the total for the week, the month, the year — and the average next to it.
The per-session average
Tap a bar and, from two sessions upwards, you’ll also see how long a single one was on average. With just one session the line stays hidden — it would only repeat the total.
Small things
In rare cases the average read higher than the total above it — a rounding error, now fixed. The new header also holds up at large text sizes without breaking out of the layout. And the sounds load over a shorter path.
Updates like this one rarely take the spotlight. But an app that doesn’t sign you out, and a number that sits where you look for it, are exactly the kind of thing nobody notices in the end — and that’s the point.
